Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network Continuing Authorization Act


On Tuesday, September 8, 2009, the House returned to session with votes on a number of suspension bills as well as consideration of H.R. 965: Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network Continuing Authorization Act. This legislation permanently authorizes the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, an initiative started in 1998 to preserve the resources of the Chesapeake Bay. It encompasses more than 64,000 square miles of recreational area, wildlife refuges and waterways in six states and Washington, D.C. I voted YES. H.R. 965 passed and the entire vote is recorded below:
