Congressman Capuano Receives High Marks From the League of Conservation Voters

November 1, 2002 -- Congressman Mike Capuano received a 95% score for his voting record in the 107th Congress from the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) a national organization committed to protecting the environment.

"I am honored that the League of Conservation Voters examined my record in the 107th Congress and issued a 95% rating. I am committed to protecting our environment for ourselves and our children by preserving our air, water and open spaces. I will continue fighting to protect these natural resources in the 108th Congress," stated Congressman Capuano.

The LCV scorecard rated Members of Congress on votes involving issues like resource conservation as well as environmental health and safety protection.

"Congressman Capuano's LCV score proves that the people of the 8th district can depend on him to consistently put their interest in a clean and healthy environment first," stated LCV President Deb Callahan.
